CTC Cross Country Ready To Host Southern Collegiate Challenge

The Chattahoochee Tech cross country teams are gearing up for the Southern Collegiate Challenge, which the school hosts at the Cobb Corps Property in Acworth, Cobb County. The Golden Eagles will be going up against a strong group of competitors, including two fellow Region XVII squads in Darton College and Gordon College.

Wesleyan College (Macon, Ga.)
Spelman College
Gordon College
Chipola College (Marianna, Fla.)

"The Cobb Corps Property is one of the fastest courses in Georgia,” said head coach Steve Prettyman. “Many of the runners participating should set personal records with the great weather and the great course. It is also a good course for spectators to see most of the race."

The race will include the final head-to-head battle between conference No. 1 Darton College and conference No. 2 Chattahoochee Tech before the region competition on Oct. 29.

The men’s race begins at 12 noon, and the women's race begins at 1 p.m. Admission is free.
