Mosby, Robinson named co-Players of the Week in GCAA

DEMOREST, Ga. – AJ Mosby and Elijah Robinson were named by GCAA Division I as co-Players of the Week for their performance in Golden Eagles victories against Central Georgia Tech, Georgia Perimeter and Albany Tech last week.

Robinson, a 6-foot-5 sophomore forward, averaged 15 points per game while shooting an amazing 76.4 percent from the field overall, 60 percent from the three-point line and 85.7 percent from the free-throw line to go along with four rebounds, four assists and three blocks per game in the three wins. He was perfect from the field (6-of-6) and FT line (5-of-5) in a tough 65-63 road win over Central Georgia Tech last Tuesday evening.

Mosby, a 6-2 freshman guard, averaged 15.3 points per game, while shooting 62.5 percent from the field, 57.1 percent from the three-point line and 88.8 percent from the free-throw line with three rebounds and one steal per game in those three wins. Mosby had 21 points in the win over Georgia Perimeter on Thursday, and was 5-of-7 from beyond the arc while tallying 19 points in a hard-fought 66-63 win over Albany Tech on Sunday afternoon.

At 22-6, 10-6 in GCAA play, the Golden Eagles are tied for third place in the conference standings with two games remaining, road contests at second-place Georgia Highlands on Wednesday and eighth-place Atlanta Metro on Saturday.
