Lady Eagles suffer a tough defeat to Central Georgia

Smyrna, Ga - On Sunday afternoon at the Smyrna Community Center, the CTC Lady Eagles lost to Central Georgia Tech 96-43, but they didn't only lose the game.

With the score pretty tight at 17-13 at the 9:00 mark of the first half, Janelly Plummer saw her season come to a frightening end when she collided with an opposing player and fell to the floor while going for a rebound in the middle of the lane. After a scary break in the game, she was subsequently taken to the emergency room and diagnosed with a concussion.

Once play resumed, CGTC went on to take total control of the game. The Lady Eagles were not able to put up much of a fight without Plummer's athleticism and scoring ability.

Victoria Connor paced the Lady Eagles offense with 17 points, while Darlecia Bonds tallied 11 points and seven rebounds.
