Golden Eagles run past Rome Elite, 101-52

Smyrna, GA - The Golden Eagles jumped out to an early lead and cruised to a 101-52 win over Rome Elite on Monday evening at the Smyrna Community Center.

Behind the scoring of Zach Landis, AJ Mosby and Dimychael Ross, the CTC men quickly built a lead and really never looked back, taking a 49-29 lead into the half. The second half proved to be just a successful, as Malcolm Hannah and Xavier Allen took over the scoring punch, and the Eagle defense held their opponents to only 23 points after the intermission.

CTC held Rome Elite to only 28% shooting from the field overall and outrebounded them 64 to 43, with Joe Howard leading the rebounding column with 10 boards. Landis and Ross also each nabbed eight rebounds.

The win moved the Chatt Tech men to 7-0 on the season, heading into its first GCAA Conference matchup on the road at East Georgia on Wednesday night.
