Rome, Ga.-After winning five straight conference games to reach 20 wins on the season, the Chattahoochee Tech men fell to NJCAA Division I No. 6-ranked Georgia Highlands 105-85 on the road Wednesday night.

The Golden Eagles (20-8, 8-6 GCAA) led by as many as eight points in the second half and were up 70-63 inside of 10 minutes before Georgia Highlands (26-1, 13-1) began to take control of the game. Malik Jordan led the team with 22 points on 6-of-13 shooting and a 4-of-9 mark from three, and fellow guard Jamion Simpson had 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting.

Keith Ray had 10 points, and Nkem Ojeh and Ben Drake scored nine and eight points, respectively.

The Lady Golden Eagles (20-9, 5-8) fell 69-48 to Georgia Highlands (16-13, 11-2) in Wednesday night's first game.

While the men dropped to fifth place in the GCAA standings with two regular-season games remaining, the women held onto their fourth-place spot with one game left. A fourth-place finish would mean the opportunity to host a first-round GCAA tournament game.

Wednesday night's games were the last of three games in five days for both Chatt Tech teams.

The Golden Eagles are back in action on Sunday at LakePoint in Emerson, taking on East Georgia State. The women's game starts at 2:30 p.m., and the men start at 4:30.
