Eagles fight off very good SCTC team, 94-84

Griffin - The CTC Eagle men had to go into the fire of the GCAA DIII defending champs home, and came out having to fight for the win in the end.

After taking a 53-40 lead into the half, and then later building as much as a 22 point lead heading into the latter stages of the game, the Southern Crescent team decided it was not going to give in and fought back to cut the score to 81-74, at one point. A rare patient offensive possession found Corey Tobin open for a long three pointer, to virtually ice the win.

Along the way, AJ Mosby and Ryan Davis carried the way with multiple transition baskets, as a result of a faced paced, pressing SCTC defense. Jordan Oliver showed again why he is a key component to the Eagles' effort, with another solid peformance. He tallied 15 points off of sheer energy and hustle. Davis also swiped six steals on the evening.

The win moves CTC to 3-0 on the young season.

The Chatt Tech men, will now prepare to host Cincinnati State on Friday night at the Smyrna Community Center. Tipoff is set for 7:30pm.
