Smyrna, GA - The Cincinnati State Surge women's team made the long trip down to take on the Lady Eagles on Friday night and came out on the top end of a 98-57 win.
The Lady Surge jumped out to a big lead in the first quarter and never looked back, taking a 57-22 lead into the intermission. In the second half, the Lady Eagles were significantly more competitive as they played on par with Cincy, only getting outscored 41-35 in the final two periods - even outscoring the visitors 27-20 in the final stanza.
Aysia Grimsley posted a double-double with 27 points and 10 boards for the CTC girls, whole Fernanda Silva also reached double figures with 12. Victory Johnson had seven and Rita Beshara collected five in the loss.
