Lady Eagles fall on the road at WGTC, 90-48

Carrollton - The Lady Eagles took a tough 90-48 loss on the road at West Georgia Tech.

A very fast, pressing attack helped WGTC jump out to a 26-9 lead at the end of one period, a lead the CTC girls would never be able to recover from. Though Aysia Grimsley and Fernanda Silva were posting solid offensive numbers, there was just not enough offensive fire power from others, to combat the aggressive opponents.

WGTC continued their torrid scoring in the second half, to glide to victory. Sydnee Clark led the winners with 17 points.

For the Lady Eagles, Grimsley had 19, Silva 16, while Victory Johnson contributed seven and Jesqueena Rucker tallied four. Grimsley also grabbed six rebounds.

The Lady Eagles will go on the road again on Wednesday, as they visit Southern Crescent Tech in Griffin, for a 5:30pm tipoff.
