Emerson, Ga.—The CTC Lady Golden Eagles defeated Summer Hill 89-55 at LakePoint sparked by a huge game from freshman forward Mariya Trimble.
The Lady Golden Eagles (11-1) jumped on Summer Hill early, riding a game-high and career high-tying 26 points from Trimble, who also had seven rebounds and three assists. Helping Trimble were Tymeshia Dozier with 20 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals and Janelly Plummer with 19 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Skylar Rossi had nine points on 3-of-5 shooting from three.
The win comes two days after the women traveled alone to take a 75-48 victory at Toccoa Falls of the NCCAA. Sydney Mathis led the way in that game with 18 points on 9-of-18 shooting, 10 rebounds and six steals. Four others scored in double-figures and the team had 19 steals.
