CTC women fall to Atlanta Metro in conference tilt

SMYRNA – GCAA Division I opponent Atlanta Metro visited the Smyrna Community Center on Sunday and left with a 75-56 conference victory over Chattahoochee Tech.

The Lady Golden Eagles (2-8, 0-6 GCAA) had a 12-point halftime deficit that opened up even further after the break. Courtney Street led the way with 14 points for Chattahoochee Tech in the losing effort, and Kabrenna Smith (11 points, six rebounds) and Jennifer Motton (10 points, three rebounds) also reached double figures in scoring. Tiana Gray scored seven points and pulled down a team-leading eight rebounds, while Rose Robinson also scored seven and led the team with five assists. Atlanta Metro (1-8, 1-3) got 24 points from Lawna Kennedy to lead all scorers.

The teams will be back in action at the Smyrna Community Center this Saturday, hosting East Georgia College. The women's game will tip off at 5:30 p.m. with the men's game to follow.
