Albany, GA - The Chattahoochee Tech basketball teams travelled to Albany Tech on Wednesday and both teams came away with losses.
The Lady Eagles suffered through an 83-39 loss, in which the "faithful five" had to again play all 40 minutes. Darlecia Bonds scored 15 points to pace the offense, while two Lady Eagles tallied double-doubles on the night. Deidra Morris collected 12 points and 12 rebounds and Nicole Joseph pounded in 10 points and snatched 10 rebounds.
In the men's game, the guys fell behind early and went in to the half down 37-31. As if it's pattern, the Eagles were down by 11 in the second half, before deciding to put some concerted effort into their performance. The Eagles fought back to trade several leads and last led at 62-60. But, several costly turnovers and ill-advised shots down the stretch allow Albany to grab a lead which it was able to hold onto by knocking down free throws in the closing seconds. AJ Mosby had 19 points for CTC, while Xavier Allen had 16 and Zach Landis 13. Malcolm Hannah also contributed nine in the disappointing loss.
