ATLANTA – The Lady Eagles hoops squad dropped a road game to Atlanta Metro on Saturday, with the Chattahoochee Tech women falling 98-82.
The Lady Golden Eagles (3-18, 1-14) also were locked in a close game at halftime, trailing just 45-42, Atlanta Metro (5-15, 5-10) extended its lead in the second half for the comfortable win. Tiana Gray led all scorers with 25 points, and Amber Mendes added 18. Both Rose Robinson and Steara Mitchell scored 14, and Courtney Street contributed 11 points. The Lady Golden Eagles outrebounded Atlanta Metro 61-42.
Both teams will be on the road for the third straight game this Wednesday, Feb. 11 against Middle Georgia, whose men stand at 6-17 and 3-10 in conference and whose women are 8-11 and 5-10 ahead of matchups with Albany Tech on Monday.
