COCHRAN, Ga. – The women's team competed closely with Middle Georgia State, losing 71-60 and trailing just 57-54 at the 4:30 mark in the second half. MGSC went on a 10-0 run to put the game away.
Tiana Gray led the Lady Golden Eagles with 22 points and 11 rebounds, while Amber Mendes scored 13 points and Steara Mitchell contributed 10.
Ritzy Griffin led Middle Georgia with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Both the men's and women's teams will play their final GCAA home games on Saturday at the Smyrna Community Center, with the women tipping off at 5:30 p.m. and the men following at 7:30.
