Gainesville, GA - The Lady Eagles went on the road and got back in the win column with a hard fought 69-65 win over Brenau University JV.
Brenau proved to be a tough opponent for the CTC women, as they took at 35-28 lead into the half. The Lady Eagles didn't cover any ground in the third quarter, as they entered the final stanza trailing 51-43.
Brenau had actually won each quarter to that point, but the Lady Eagles turned the game around, turning up the energy and outscoring the home team 26-14 in the final period to steal the win.
Trimble turned in a great performance with 26 points and 17 boards, while Janelly Plummer had 19 and Tymeshia Dozier 16.
The Lady Eagles, now 6-1 on the year, will now head back out on the road to take on Soutnern Crescent Tech in Griffin on next Tuesday evening. Tipoff is set for 5:30pm.
