Lady Eagles pull away for 79-67 win over Southern Crescent

Griffin, GA - The Lady Eagles achieved win number eight on Tuesday night with a hard-fought 79-67 win over Southern Crescent.

The CTC women started strong building a double-digit lead quickly, before SCTC hit a couple of treys to trim the score, but still took a 21-14 lead into the second period. The lead would stick for most of the evening, while SCTC threatened on several occasions.

CTC lead 37-31, and 55-48 after three quarters. SCTC made one last run, cutting the Lady Eagle lead to 3 at one point, but Janelly Plummer and Skylar Rossi hit consecutive threes mid-way through the final period to effectively take the wind out of the home team's sails.

The Lady Eagles move to 7-1 on the season, and will now move on to play in the annual Summer Hill Cup, where they will tangle with BaselineUSA on Saturday and Summer Hill on Sunday, before playing a third game in as many days Monday night on the road at Toccoa Falls.
