CTC women take one on the chin against Darton State

SMYRNA – Chattahoochee Tech women's basketball returned to GCAA play on Wednesday at home as they hosted the 2013 GCAA defending champion Darton State women. Darton powered its way to an impressive 102-35 victory over the weary Lady Eagles.

The Lady Golden Eagles (2-10, 0-8) were led in scoring by Tiana Gray, who had 16 points. Aubria Gresham tallied six points and a respectable nine rebounds, while Amber Mendes collected five points, two assists and one steal in her first game back after having to sit out the first half of the season.

Shane Armrister paced the Darton offense with 29 points, while Jasmine Wilson, Iesha Bonner and Kaydaysha Jones each dropped 14 in the win.

The women will travel to South Georgia Tech on Saturday to take on the top ranked Lady Jets. The men will also take on the South Georgia Tech men, who currently sit in a tie for second place in conference play at 4-2.
