Golden Eagles receive votes for national poll

Marietta, GA - After winning both games last week and moving to 18-3 on the season, the Golden Eagles men's basketball team moved into the 'receiving votes' section of the NJCAA National Polls. With another solid performance this week, the Eagles could potentially return to the much coveted Top 25.

The Eagles received votes early during the 2010-11 season, before dropping out and finishing the year at 19-12 over all. Last season, the CTC men returned to the polls and enjoyed a good run, first climbing into the polls a couple weeks into the schedule, then climbing as high as number #9 in the national poll, eventually finishing at #14 in the final regular season poll and 28-5 on the year.

Fellow GCAA member South Georgia Tech moved up to #18 in this week's polls. Former Chattahoochee Tech player, Malcolm Riley, is currently playing for this week's #9 team, Trinity Valley (TX). Riley transferred to Trinity after playing for CTC during the 2012-13 season.
